The Nature of the Human Mind
The 'Mind' is a highly unstable entity, arising and ceasing taking various forms as a monkey roaming freely in the forest. According to Western Thought the mind operates at three levels: conscious, pre-conscious and the unconscious. Corporeality to, is a highly unstable phenomenon although it appears to be a little more stable than the mind. However, mind and matter sustain each other , as the mutual support of to bundles of reeds standing against each other.
Being unstable, mentally and corporeality are all mass of suffering. They rise and cease in accordance with the law of Paticca Samuppada. They are a souse of 'Happiness' only to the foolish, uninstructed laymen. In a nutshell, nama and rupa are the domain of the 'evil one'.
Te human mind is a highly complex phenomenon. Nevertheless, it can be controlled in this manner, it is capable of performing most wonderful and much sought-after acts. Human mind has degenerated into its present corrupt condition through sheer neglect over a long period of time. However, It is possible to restore it t its pristine purity. For this, it is important first to discover and adopt a course of action appropriate for the purpose.
